Cabinet Painting

painting of the cabinets

The best way to quickly update the way that your entire kitchen looks is to have your cabinets painted. Now, as with any surface that you may be looking to paint you have to make sure that it’s done the right way. Not all of the surfaces are going to be able to be painted with the same type of paint. If we’re dealing with vinyl we’re not going to treat it the same way that we do wood. At the same time, we’re going to make sure that we only get paint on the cabinets and not the rest of the kitchen.

What Are Your Cabinets Made Out Of

The first thing that we’re going to need to figure out to get you the help that you need is to understand what your cabinets are made out of and what their current state is. For example, wooden cabinets may only need to be stained and they’ll hold up fine. In some cases, the same wooden cabinets could highly benefit from us coming in and sanding them before we add the new coating of paint. If we’re talking about vinyl cabinets there are different procedures that we’ll have to follow.

Prepping A Service

When we’re working on these types of projects it can be really important for us to get on the same page with homeowners about working hours and how they want us to work. Do you want us to work directly on-site? Maybe you want us to take the doors and drawers and paint them at our headquarters to make sure you’re not dealing with the smell of paint at home all day. We can come to an agreement on how the project is essentially going to be taking place. This to make sure that we get the job done while disturbing your daily life as little as possible.

By How Much Can Repainting Extend The Lifespan Of My Cabinets?

We usually don’t like to put a number on something like this. What we can say is this though, you’re going to have three options either replace the cabinets every few years when they start looking dull. That’s going to cost you much more than repainting them every so often. Your last choice is just to leave them be even if they look dull until you feel like they’re not useful anymore. Repainting them every 4 or 5 years or so can be a much better option than all of the other scenarios.
